Birdville ISD’s Educators Rising Members Grab Top Prizes at 2025 National Conference

Richland High School’s Olivia McGuire earned a first-place finish at the Educators Rising National Conference held at the Rosen Shingle Creek Resort in Orlando, Florida, June 26 - 29. McGuire won with her presentation featuring her research in the Exploring Non-core Subject Teaching Careers competition. Avalon Lidstrom (RHS) captured fourth place in the same event.

Two teams were awarded 3rd place finishes in the Interactive Bulletin Board contest: the team of Reagan Wilson (RHS) and Madilynn Coe (RHS), and the team of Ava Cooley (RHS) and Ava Arocha (HHS).

Liliana Perrin (BHS) and Elyse Grierson (BHS), snagged a 5th place finish in the Researching Learning Challenges competition. Also competing was Katilynn Hillman (RHS) in the Creative Lecture competition.

Supporting BISD’s Educators Rising student leadership organization are the Director of Career and Technology Education, Andrea Anderson, and CTE Counselor, Cindy Larson. Karen Kallas is Birdville High’s Educator Rising chapter’s teacher leader.
